Madinah Welfare Trust was established in 2017 in response to the urgent needs of impoverished communities in remote regions of India. Early visits by UK locals revealed the desperate circumstances faced by these populations, who had little to no access to charitable aid. The severe poverty in these areas meant that the residents were not only unable to seek help within their own country but were also cut off from any international assistance.
Recognising this dire need, Madinah Welfare Trust was founded with the aim of providing immediate and sustainable support to these neglected communities. Our initial efforts, though modest, laid the foundation for what Madinah Welfare Trust has become today. While we acknowledge that we are still growing and have not yet reached our full potential, we are steadily progressing and strengthening our impact with each passing year.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our generous donors, we have been able to initiate and sustain a variety of impactful projects. These include providing vital aid to Rohingya refugees, distributing food packages during Ramadan, constructing and supporting mosques and madrasahs, assisting those affected by the pandemic, training educators, and supplementing the salaries of underpaid imams.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors, whose remarkable support has been the backbone of our achievements. Without their contributions, our efforts would not have reached the heights they have today.
Looking ahead, Madinah Welfare Trust is committed to expanding its current projects and launching new initiatives to further uplift and empower those in need. We invite everyone to continue their invaluable support and join us in this noble and rewarding journey toward creating lasting positive change.
